The Category B National Group Championship took place in Stara Zagora from 08 to 09 June.
TEA Dance Sports Club entered a total of 4 groups and 2 duos.
After an extremely tough preparation season for our groups – many injuries, changes of gymnasts, difficult scheduling because of school shifts and a host of other problems – we can say that what all the club's coaches and gymnasts achieved is an incredible success and result for our small club.
Results – groups of 4–6 gymnasts:
The pre-juniors under 10 group from Gorna Malina won silver at the championship, competing against no fewer than 44 teams from all over Bulgaria. The girls had a very strong season and a very strong National Championship, and deservedly stepped onto the podium after two wonderful error-free routines. The team: Viktoria Koleva, Nikol Lyubenova, Dilyana Dobreva, Aleksandra Ivanova and Simona Dimova, coached by Latina Tsvetanova with senior coach Tea Gramatikova.
The pre-juniors under 10 group from Elin Pelin also achieved a wonderful result, placing 4th. Tsvetelina Atanasova's gymnasts fell just short of the top three, but this is still a huge success for this up-and-coming team. The team: Nikol Blagoycheva, Lilia Kuzmanova, Gergana Krasteva, Maria Ashikova and Beloslava Aleksandrova.
The TEA Dance Sports Club clubs group placed 5th out of 30 teams from all over the country in the pre-junior age group. Polina Peneva's clubs group: Ivana Ivanova, Ivon Valcheva, Viktoria Dimitrova and Dzhulia Karpichi, plus the injured Dilyana Aleksandrova and Antonia Tsvetkova. An incredible success for them, considering that little Dzhulia Karpichi joined and learned the routine in just two weeks.
The TEA Dance Sports Club hoops group placed 7th. Coach Tanita Nenkova gave her all to prepare the team in intensive evening sessions, as the girls' school shifts didn't match. Unfortunately, after a wonderful first routine at the National Championship, the girls couldn't keep their second routine error-free and finished 7th in the junior age group. That is also a good result. The team: Savina Velkova, Mikaela Branzelova, Anita Tsvetanova, Maria Damova and Hristiyana Yaneva.
Results – groups of 2–3 gymnasts:
Two TEA Dance Sports Club teams took part in duo and trio, one of the newest disciplines in rhythmic gymnastics
Pre-juniors under 10: Kristina Chelyo and Zlatina Georgieva took a prestigious 3rd place. The girls prepared very well during the season, and thanks to this and to the huge work of their coach Tsvetelina Atanasova, they deservedly became National Championship bronze medallists.
Juniors: Milena Nikolova and Izabel Ignatova placed 5th. A good result, considering that Milena trained with a broken arm throughout the preparation. The girls' coach is Latina Tsvetanova.
Congratulations to the whole TEA Dance Sports Club team and all the gymnasts in the teams.
Thank you to all the parents and fans of the club and our sport for their support!
