Gold medals from the "Trakia Cup" International Tournament and the "Maria Petrova" Prize too

A week after the National Group Championship, the TEA Dance Sports Club girls didn't put their routines away – they worked hard for the prestigious tournament in Plovdiv, whose patron is Ms Maria Petrova.

The TEA Dance Sports Club teams entered the group and individual competitions and achieved very good results.

With this competition, the gymnasts in our groups closed the season for this discipline, and our Category A individual gymnasts had an official test run for the upcoming Category A National Championship.

Leaving the tournament with gold medals was the little 2010 group, coached by Tsvetelina Atanasova: Viktoria Lenkova, Tsvetelina Borisova, Hristiyana Leseva and Nikol Kyurchiyska.

Straight after them, the golden wave continued with the Gorna Malina ball group, coached by Latina Tsvetanova with senior coach Teodora Gramatikova: Viktoria Koleva, Nikol Lyubenova, Aleksandra Ivanova, Dilyana Dobreva and Simona Dimova. The girls had a very strong season, with prestigious placings at every competition they entered.

Tanita Nenkova's little sweeties – the 2011 team: Andrea, Didi, Krasi, Krisi, Nikol and Magi – placed third but were left out of the rankings because of the tournament's strict rule that "only one team per club is ranked in each age group". It was their first serious competition, and the TEA Dance Sports Club team is extremely pleased with their performance.

Also in third place was the ball group coached by Tsvetelina Atanasova: Gergana Krasteva, Nikol Blagoycheva, Lilia Kuzmanova, Beloslava Aleksandrova and Maria Ashikova. With a very good and original routine, the girls made a great impression all season, but bad luck kept them from the places they deserved.

40 gymnasts took part in the individual competition, 4 of them from TEA Dance Sports Club. Only our club's highest-scoring gymnast entered the rankings: Dara Krasteva – 4th place in the all-around, 4th on rope and 7th on hoop out of 40 gymnasts, coached by Tea Gramatikova. Our other gymnasts, left out of the rankings because of the rules, were Gabriela Krastanova, Bilyana Zafirova and Simona Stoilova.

All four girls will compete at the upcoming National Championship in Kamchia next week.

Congratulations to the groups on finishing the season, and good luck to our individual gymnasts!
