The Category A National Championship for juniors and seniors in Veliko Tarnovo is over (29.05–01.06.2019).
110 children born in 2004, 2005 and 2006 from all over the country took part in the junior competition. An extremely strong competition, with many well-prepared gymnasts from all clubs.
Against this strong competition, Dara Krasteva performed her rope routine without errors and, after the first day, deservedly went through to the final on this apparatus with the third-highest score.
On ball and clubs, Dara made an error, but she still showed very strong progress in her body qualities and apparatus technique, as well as mental growth.
This is Dara's first year as a senior girl, and she still has a long way to go, a lot of work to do and a lot to prove.
Congratulations to Dara on 4th place in the rope final and 18th position in the all-around.
Valentina Georgieva, born 2005, also took part. Valya performed well on the first day of competition on rope and ball, but made more errors on clubs and ribbon, which cost her a good all-around placing.
Valya missed several months of development because of an injury, which naturally slowed her preparation. But she is already starting to regain her form, and if she works hard she will regain her positions too.
In the senior age group, Andzhela Krasteva had a very good competition. For the first time we saw her really bold, artistic and energetic on the carpet.
She performed three of her apparatus without errors and took 22nd place in the all-around out of 44 competitors.
Andzhi needs to work on her qualities and on making her routines more complex, to get even closer to the strong competition.
Even so, the TEA Dance Sports Club girls showed that they are progressing and working well against the demands of modern, very complex rhythmic gymnastics.
Thank you to coaches Tea Gramatikova and Tanita Nenkova and judge Polina Peneva for preparing the children so well.
We know how much work is still ahead of us. We watch the competition closely and try to keep up with the new trends in our sport.
Only persistence, many competitions, work and good preparation will bring the best results when it matters.
Patience...
